OOC: The Move! (aka; availablity tango)

So, I've been saying it for months now, I'm moving to Australia!

...that would be next Sunday.

*small bits of flaily excitement*

This week will be full of massive chunks of SP from all my pups and then after... I dunno. I'm not sure how long it will be for net access at the new place, but I'm hoping no more than a week. *crosses fingers*

G'Kar will be headed back to his own universe to try to help prevent the start of The Telepath War. (good luck with that *pats him*).

Murdock will also head home to go play merc boy with his buddies.

Eleanor (of the Robinson variety) gets to go the way of the cute animal. *g*

I will finish up any open threads this week (and I know I have some, me's going away party put them to the side for the weekend) and everyone will be around for their usual things up until Friday morning.

Sunday evening... *drumroll*

I'll be on a plane bound for the land down under!!!!!!!

*bouncybouncebouncy*

I'll send pics of Australia! :D

MCA #6 - far too early Saturday morning, April 11

The problem with space travel is that the jet lag was killer. G'Kar was utterly exhausted as he arrived back to his apartment.

At least the telepath revolt had been halted for now. The PsiCorps didn't count on the large number of rogues who had resisted their plans for independence. Of course, the fact that the Corps had a different idea of independence than most is likely what had hindered their plans.

By their way of thinking, telepaths would be free from the interference of EarthGov, but the Corps would still keep an iron fist around the individual lives of telepaths.

Hardly freedom by any stretch of the imagination.

The Interstellar Alliance couldn't actually do anything. Officially. But Delenn and G'Kar had spread the word through the Rangers that any human telepaths were welcome on Minbar. It certainly wouldn't hurt to have a few on their side when all hell did break loose.

And the more training his daughter got, the better. Minbari telepathic training was certainly helping, but Brianna was going to need to know how the humans handled things as well.

He almost hadn't wanted to leave once things had calmed down. It felt far too much like he was abandoning his child. Who knew when he would see her next?

Likely sooner than he would expect.

(establishy. one back, one more to go. *g*)

MCA #6, Thursday afternoon March 25

G'Kar had in fact, not been doing anything ritual-wise on Sunday when he missed his shift at the store, rather he was contimplating and considering what to do in response to a message he'd received from Delenn.

Seemed the humans were on the brink of war again, this time a war between Telepaths and normals. He knew this had been coming. Not just from the things Lyta had told him, but even when he was still back on the station. Sheridan had said as much, and it was only proven further during the incidents with the rogues under Lochley's command.

On one hand, G'Kar could not blame them. The humans seemed to be the only race who shut out Telepaths, confining them to one area, subjecting them to a life of service whether they wanted it or not. But the idea had backfired. Instead of keeping them pacified and controlled, the telepaths quietly built their own infrastructure, right under the noses of the Earth goverment. And now they were in a powerful enough position to really start pushing back.

G'Kar would have taken an interest in all the going-ons under normal circumstances, but a visit from a certain little girl last year had changed that.

His daughter. His telepathic daughter.

And if the PsiCorp discovered that Lyta Alexander had borne a child...

He was not going to let that happen.

So he'd spent his week planning and plotting ways things might be able to work out. Barring a peaceful settlement, he'd take up his role in the fight. The fight for Telepath freedom. For Lyta, for his daughter. He owed them nothing less.

(establishy, NFI. This is G'Kar's post for me going AFK, *and* it nicely lines up with the upcoming AU Kids weekend, don't you agree?)

The Park, early Sunday morning, January 25

G'Kar rose early as he always did and headed into the park for some meditation before his shift at the store was to begin. But he wasn't expecting any visitors... )

MCA #6, Sunday

Upon returning home from his shift at the store, G'Kar was surprised to discover a few messages.

He was quite certain, however, that these messages were not intended for him. Courtesy demanded that he correct the oversight by delivering the messages to their rightful owners.

Satisified that'd he done a good day's deed, he settled in to go over his script notes.

OCC today's availability

My oldest son had the great sense of timing to get sick today. While I've found that I can do some posting and commenting with my cell phone webrowser, for some reason not all LJ comms will display. Including fandomtownies. So while I can comment to it off the flist, I can't get to it directly to make any posts. Hence, no T&C today. Man, this blows chunks. But! I should have full home net back up on Thursday. Only two more days to go! ***eta***Oh, and half the time I have to fight to get the comments to go through (I so love re-doing the same thing over and over). Aka; major sp like woa.

MCA #6, Monday Evening 7/21

Tortuga was a lovely island indeed. Many of the inhabitants were also lovely. And there was drink a'plenty.

Was it any wonder that nobody had seen G'Kar in the past few days?

Monday evening saw him staggering back to his apartment. And promptly passing out as soon as he hit the bed. He just might regret his handwavy weekend come morning.

(establishy! gotta give him something he could've done while his poor mun was offline, right? ;p )

MCA #6, Monday evening 7/7

G'Kar returned to his apartment after a day of handwavily wandering about the island following his language session with Hoshi.

His wandering had got him thinking about recent events and it had certainly been an...interesting...few weeks. Going sight-seeing with Amber had been a wonderful joy. At least up until he'd turned into a cat. That had certainly mandated a quick trip to the bar.

Then there was a party with lemurs, which G'Kar still had felt like chasing despite the shrimp he'd received from Ella.

Spending the weekend with Amber's family was something best not discussed, and he'd assumed that the whole cat thing would vanish upon to his return to Fandom. No such luck. It was exceedingly hard to explain to one's show director problems with rehearsal when one lacked proper vocal cords.

Thankfully, he'd reverted back to normal on Wednesday, and couldn't wait to share his news. Also very lucky, since there was a party that very evening. Of course, he'd felt the need to properly thank people and explain his abscence.

It was nice to end it all with a relaxing cruise.

Just life in Fandom.

so smug

MCA #6, Wednesday morning 7/2

G'Kar woke up dreading yet another day covered with fur. He stretched, yawned ... and realized the bed seemed a lot smaller than it had last night. Could it be?

He cracked an eye open and glanced down at himself.

"Thank G'Quan," he sighed in relief.

The first order of business was a shower. How handy that he was already nude. Then the morning rites which he hadn't been able to perform properly these past few days being stuck in kitty form.

After that...

A run to the store for supplies so he could modify his refrigerator door to be openable by any odd form of claw, paw, wing, etc.,etc.

(and a lovely thank-you to [info]minnesota_teen for the shiny new icons! whoo!)
